Last week as we began our new series on Generosity, we spent time looking at what the Church is and how we're supposed to function as members of the Church. We learned that everyone--sinners and saints alike--needs the Church, and we talked about how gathering together as the Body of Christ fulfills our needs for God's people, God's principles, God's purpose, and God's presence. This week we will look at the foundations that must be in place before we answer the practical questions about the nuts and bolts of giving: to have a heart like God's is to have a generous heart. We will study how God shows His generosity to us and how in return He calls us to be generous. God is a giver, and calls us to follow His example.
