What are you putting off to tomorrow? The battle for the freedom of God's people has begun. After God turned the Nile River to blood, causing great suffering throughout Egypt for seven days, Pharaoh still hardened his heart and refused to let the Hebrews go. God next sent a plague of frogs swarming the lands that was so severe, Pharoah went to Moses and Aaron to ask God for relief. But when relief came, will Pharaoh obey the command of the Lord or harden his heart once again? This week we begin reading Exodus 8 and the second of the Ten Plagues of Egypt. We'll study the significance of frogs to the ancient Egyptians and how their ability to imitate the power of God is an example of the counterfeit religion the world has to offer. And we'll learn the severity of the consequences of putting off the important things to tomorrow, and ask ourselves what God wants us to do today that we've been delaying.
